071221 Sage PFW 5.6 Patch

Sage PFW 5.6 including the manufacturing suite updates (21 Dec. 2007) is available.

Installation Instructions
- NOTE: Please see special instructions for installing this patch on a client workstation using Vista Business or Ultimate.
- Execute the downloaded file to the x:\Platinum\Update directory on your network file server.
  Where x: represents the drive where Sage PFW is installed.
- Have all users exit Sage PFW
- In the \Platinum\Update directory locate and execute the file PFWUpDte.exe.
- Choose to update the server files or the client files or both.
- Manually execute C:\PFW\CrystalSortRegKey.reg on each workstation.
- Verify the drive letter and path to the \Platinum directory for the server and enter (or browse to) the path to the \PFW directory on your client machine. Select Process.
- When the process is complete, repeat the above steps at each client workstation and select to update the client files only.
  Important! All client workstations must be updated to the same patch level.
Special Installation Instructions for using Vista
There is currently an outstanding issue with the Service Pack Installer when running on Vista. The issue will be fixed shortly, and the below instructions are a temporary workaround.
Note: The Service Pack installer continues to work on the server environment, and other non-Vista client environments. This workaround is only for client workstations using Vista.
Please follow these steps for updating a client workstation running Vista.
- Complete the above steps to install the service pack files on the server.
- Copy the following files from the \Platinum\Update folder to the \PFW folder on the client workstation using Vista. Choose to overwrite the existing file if requested.
  - LastUpd
  - CS4_32.EXE
  - PF33.EXE
  - Ivrecooc.exe
  - Pn4_32.exe
- Copy these same files to each client workstation using Vista.
