This 080108 Sage Accpac RA 5.44 SP1 contains a modified version of one or more Return Material Authorization program modules.

The modification is not a full upgrade or a product replacement; it is a temporary program fix that is valid only until new release of an update that incorporates these changes.

Service Pack 1 Release Notes (Jan 8, 2008)
This service pack includes all the hotfix releases from Hotfix #1 to #8.

Service Pack 1 (20080108)
The following modification was implemented as part of this release. Please note, the addition of the new field requires a table level change to the database. This is the first table level change for RMA 5.4A since its initial release. Field change is restricted to the table RATEMPL.

• New RMA Template Field. The field EDITONCMPL ("Allow Field Changes if Complete") is a boolean switch allowing a set of RMA detail line fields to be editable even if the line is marked complete and/or has been credited, replaced or returned. The field can be accessed through the RMA Template screen and is located on the RMA Processing tab. Previously once a document line was either credited, replaced or returned most of the RMA detail line fields could no longer be updated. This new feature allows textual fields, statuses and comments to be updated after a detail line has been completed, and is retroactive, i.e.. it will affect RMA documents already in the system as well as any new documents entered. Hotfix #8 Release Notes (20071227)

The following modification is included in this release.

• RMA Ship-to details transferred to O/E replacement order. When an O/E replacement order is created through RMA the ship-to address details in the RMA header will be sent through to the O/E replacement order regardless of whether a ship-to code was entered or not. Previously, the ship-to details in the RMA header would only be sent through to the replacement order if the ship-to address code was not blank.

This hotfix is inclusive of fixes completed and distributed in Hotfixes 1- 6.
The following modification is specific to this release.

• Item Pricelist and Customer Tax Authority Mismatch and warning message. When the item pricelist tax authority and customer tax authority did not match a pricelist and unit price error occurred. Previously a warning message was displayed indicating a pricelist record did not exist for the item at a currency. This message has been removed and will appear when the item truly does not have a pricelist record for the required currency.

Hotfix #6 Release Notes (20071127)

The following modification is included in this release.

• Open O/E Order Entry from RMA screen in edit mode. When an O/E replacement order is created through RMA it is now possible to open the corresponding order and edit it through the O/E Order Entry screen popup that RA makes available. The O/E order entry screen popup is now opened in Edit mode. Previously the UI was only opened in Inquiry mode allowing the user to see but not change the order.

This hotfix is inclusive of fixes completed and distributed in Hotfixes 1-4.
The following modifications and corrections are part of this release.

• Item Pricelist and Customer Tax Authority Mismatch. When the item pricelist tax authority and customer tax authority did not match a pricelist and unit price error occurred. This prevented RMA from allowing an item to be added to the detail line. This release corrects the problem and the item will be placed on the line at zero unit

Hotfix #4 Release Notes (20070919)

This hotfix is inclusive of fixes completed and distributed in Hotfixes 1-3.
The following modifications and corrections are part of this release.

• Support for Serialized Kitting Components. As part of this release the use of serialized components within kits is now supported by RMA 5.4A. Prior releases of RMA already contained the necessary fields and tables. However, support for these was not implemented until now. The user will be able to allocated serial numbers to serialized components and have them processed when issuing Order Entry Credit Notes through RMA. This implementation does not require a data level change or upgrade.
• Identified memory problem when dropping multiple RMA datasources onto VB or VBA macro forms. If more than one instance of either RAHEAD or RADET was added to a form as a datasource the form would experience a memory problem when it closed. This problem was corrected at the view level. No data level change is required.

Hotfix #3 Release Notes (20070904)

• Improvements and corrections to the Data Integrity Check process. Changes were aimed at reducing time taken to validate records and avoid out-of-file handle memory errors. Amendments were made to the validation routines within the views: RAHEAD, RADET and RAITEM.
• Fixed a problem where salespeople were not being correctly allocated to O/E credit notes produced through RMA. This issue arose when RMA Templates were being used and the template specified a salesperson to use when creating the O/E credit note. The result was not always consistent and some credit notes were being created with the wrong allocated salesperson.

Hotfix #2 Release Notes (20070803)

• Improvements and corrections to the Data Integrity Check process. Changes were aimed at reducing time taken to validate records and avoid out-of-file handle memory errors. These changes will also improve the speed of RMA transaction entry as the time taken to validate record fields during data entry has been reduced.

Hotfix #1 Release Notes (20070523)

• Correction of automation error received when assigning serial numbers to items that have blank spaces in their item codes. The serialized inventory popup window was encountering a problem when searching for available serial numbers for the item.
• Correction of serial number allocation error received when creating Order Entry credit notes in a database that has both Lot Tracking 5.3B and Serialized Inventory 5.3B active.

Program Requirements

• Return Material Authorization 5.4A requires System Manager 5.4A, Accounts Receivable 5.4A, Order Entry 5.4A, and Inventory Control 5.4A or later.

Using Return Material Authorization 5.4A with Lot Tracking 5.3B

If you are using Lot Tracking 5.3B, you must download and install Lot Tracking 5.3B Service Pack 1 from the Sage Accpac website. Note that Return Material Authorization 5.4A is not compatible with Lot Tracking 5.3A or earlier versions.

Using Return Material Authorization 5.4A with Serialized Inventory 5.3B

If you are using Serialized Inventory 5.3B, you must download and install Serialized Inventory 5.3B Service Pack 2 from the Sage Accpac website. Note that Return Material Authorization 5.4A is not compatible with Serialized Inventory 5.3A or earlier versions.
